Following the death of suspected internet fraudsters on Tuesday evening in Osogbo, there was tension amongst the residents of East bypass, Dele Yes Sir and Lameco roads in Osogbo the Osun State capital.
OSUNREPORTERS NEWS athered from an eyewitness that the suspected internet fraudsters died in an accident following a hot chase by some Joint Task Force on Oba Adesoji Aderemi East Bye Pass road.
One of the suspected Yahoo Yohoo boys were said to have died immediately in the accident while the three other occupants of the car were sustained serious injury.
According to reports, the youths from Ofatedo led a violence protest who took Remi’s corpse to the entrance of the Government House where police officers shot sporadically in the air to chase them away.
The situation has sparked protest from some residents of the state who have blocked the Osogbo East bypass, Dele Yes Sir and Lameco roads in Osogbo while the incident disrupted free flow of traffic around Oke-Fia, Ola-Iya, Alekuwodo, Capital, Odi-Olowo axis on Tuesday evening.
It was gathered that the suspects were being trailed by the police from the Osun Mall along old Fakunle Area while.
The protesting Youths who took Remi’s corpse to the entrance of the Government House on Tuesday also continue the protest on Wednesday as they confronted the police at the Dada Estate Division in an attempt to pulldown every structure that has to do with police.
Reports say the police officers on duty shot sporadically in the air to chase them away as they block the major roads and disrupt the peace of the area for hours.
