The Queen of His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, Ataoja of Osogboland, Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji has uniquely celebrated her husband who is the Paramount Fuller of Osogbo on his 10th coronation anniversary on the throne of his ancestors.
Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji marked the beginning of the celebration through her charitable organization tagged Africa Traditional and Cultural Heritage Foundation (ATCHF) in the palace of Ataoja on Thursday 10th September, 2020.
The program started with free medical check-up for hundreds of Osogbo residents most especially the ages and less privilege categories of beneficiaries received free treatment, drugs and free reading glasses administered by health professionals.
Showcasing the uniqueness and beauty of some locally made foods was also one of the major aspects of the event where food identified with Osogbo such as, “Eko and Akara, Efo riro, Dele, Senke among others were competitively cooked.
Other cultural display at the event were talking drums, traditional dance, Ewi, Esa, Oriki of different forms within Osogbo and beyond.
Lectures on how to promote and sustain the Osogbo and Yoruba cultural value where Dr Tella Adeniran of the Residence Electoral Commissioner in charge of Ekiti State, and Rt Hon Lekan Olatunji who is the Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly led other prominent culture icons such as Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, Chief Jimoh Buraymo and Chief Dejo Babalola to talk on different topics of how to preserve and sustain the African traditions and culture through the palace.
While speaking in an interview with the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS after the programme, founder of the organization, Olori Kafayat Adedoyin said, “The motive behind the establishment of the organization is to empower the youth and most importantly the less privilege in Osogbo and beyond.
“Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji Africa Traditional And Cultural Heritage Foundation is to promote and showcase the African cultures in Osogbo and the world entirely.”
The Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye Il gave kudos to the initiator of such remarkable event to celebrate his 10th coronation anniversary, prayed for more success for the the charitable organization champion by his wife, Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji. Kabiesi also thank those who honour the invitation to celebrate him.
Presentation of different gift items from Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji Africa Traditional and Cultural Heritage Foundation, Oke-Popo Community, Ruling Houses, ODPU Sisters among others while different groups were at the palace to pay homages to the king.
