Four die, five rescue in latest Lagos building collapse
Five persons have been rescued alive from the building which collapsed in the Onike area of Lagos yesterday while four dead bodies were recovered.
Southwest Zonal Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), IBRAHIM FARINLOYE told newsmen in the early hours of today that investigation showed that the collapsed building under construction was located within a compound and it was a frame structure at the time of the incident.
FARINLOYE explained further that where the building is located, contains a cluster of buildings and the rescue operation is being hampered by the lack of space, assuring that the emergency responders were working hard to get to ground zero.
