Jama’atu Ta’awun Muslimeen has reacted to the news emanated from the palace of Oluwo of Iwo land, over founder of Ta’awun Society.

The purported news, which was described by Ta’awin as unfortunate and Misleading, calling the attention of the society to disregard the baseless report.

This was conducted in a release signed by the General Secretary of Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen society of Nigeria, Dr. Tajudeen Abefe Oladejo and made available to the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS on Wednesday.

Read the full statement below;

“Attention of the Founders of the Jama’atu Ta’awun Muslimeen has been hurriedly drawn to a press release credited to the Oluwo Press Secretary, one Alli Ibrahim on Friday 29th October, 2021 and reported by the Vanguard News Nigeria to the effect that Daood Malaasan was the
founder of Ta’awun Society.

“Without prejudice to the suit pending at the Appeal Court over the leadership tussle of the Society, members of the general public are hereby urged to ignore such a piece of information as same is not only unfortunate but also grossly misleading and bereft of any scintilla of the truth with all senses of sincerity.

“To set the record straight, the Jama’atu Ta’awun Muslimeen Society of Nigeria was founded sometime in 1994 under the able wisdom of about 7 members led by Mr. Shafi’i Abdul Azeez Bello now Dr. Shafi’i Abdul Azeez Bello.

“It is therefore very important to call attention of the people connected with the current crises emanating from installation of a certain title to the fact that the Society would always want to be seen as peace-loving and law abiding organization whose name and reputation should always be preserved for whatever it takes. The Society would not want her name dragged into the crises and therefore appeal to the general public to tread with caution in bringing the name of the society into activities not connected with her aims and objectives.”
