The Osun State Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council Grassroots Mobilization Engagement and Orientation Directorate Medical Outreach has kick-started its activities of bringing medical services to the door steps of the people of the state, OSUNREPORTERS NEWS gathered.

The programme was kicked off in Iwo at the Oluwo’s Palace yesterday with a monumental successful story as quite a sizeable number of the inhabitants of the town enjoyed the free health facilities which are open to all the members of the public irrespective of their political leanings.

The Imperial Majesty, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, who lauded the programme said it was unique because of its features of not restricting it to the members of the APC alone.

The Director of Mobilization of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in the South-West, Otunba(Mrs) Titi Laoye-Ponnle, who led the medical team to Iwo disclosed that the effort was sponsored by the Osun State chapter of the PCC for Tinubu/Shettima.

She stated that the mobilization group of the presidential campaign thought it necessary to devise a means through which the health status of the people could be complemented before the general elections.

Laoye-Ponnle who explained further that what was being witnessed was the result of the collective efforts of the members of bher group who believe in the presidential ambition of Tinubu/Shettima implored the people to arm themselves with their permanent voters cards and vote for the joint APC presidential candidates during the February 25th, 2023 election and the subsequent elections too.

She reminded the people to go and collect their PVCs, cautioning them that any one who does not have a PVC is just a newsmaker and an irredeemable liability to democratic endeavours.

Laoye-Ponnle remarked that she was impressed by the turn-out of those who patronized the facilities in Iwo, urging other people to take an advantage of the programme when it gets to them.

One of the lucky beneficiaries of the programme in Iwo, Alhaja Yidiat Salawu, lauded the spirit behind it with a prayer to enrich the pockets of the APC members who contributed their hard-earned money for the comfort of the less-privileged members of the society.

Laoye-Ponnle who was a deputy governor in the state disclosed that the APC medical train would be in Ijebu-Jesa today (Tuesday at 10 a.m.); Ilesa on Tuesday; Ile-Ife on Wednesday; Ikire on Wednesday and Ila-Orangun and Ikirun on Thursday.

Others are: Ede on Saturday and another town to be nominated by the Osun-West Senatorial District candidate of the APC while the grand finale of the programme is slated for Monday, February 20th, 2023, in Osogbo, the state capital.
