Nigerian Varsity Students Elect First Female SUG President (Photo)

Miss Pwajok Jane Kangyang, a student of Medicine and Surgery department of the University of Jos has emerged first female President of the Students Union Government (SUG).

Jane, who defeated her opponents with a total votes of 1682 while the runner up, Kiku Roy Magaji scored 964 votes was declared winner of the Friday election on campus.

,,,,Others in the race; Izam Samuel Musa got 54 votes, Francis Perembo got 118 votes and Ayuba Cholom Yakubu got 24 votes.

Her victory made Jane the first ever female students to occupy the position in the 49-year history of the institution.

,,,,Her friends and colleagues, as well as students of the University have all taken to social media to celebrate with the first female leader.


At the time of filing this report, the outcome of the election has not been challenged by any candidates.
