Osun: “He’s a dancer and a performer” – Obasanjo lauds Adeleke

As the celebration of governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state midterm in office continues, a lot of activities have been carried out in the last one week.

On the 26th of November, 2024 , another angle was shot where official presentation of free Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) enrollment cards and life support gadgets to all persons living with disabilities in Osun State capital were officially presented.

OsunReporters News Correspondent who attended the event, reports that some of the life support gadgets include wheelchairs, walking sticks for the blind people among other life supports were distributed to people in need across the state.

The distribution which was held at Freedom Park in Osun State capital, Osogbo was also done across all the local government secretariats in Osun State.

In his speech, Governor Adeleke gives all glory to God and also appreciate the people of Osun State for believing in his capacity to serve them.

Hundreds of beneficiaries including relatives showered praises and commended the good work of the governor in the last two years in office.

Meanwhile, commissioning of the dualized old-garage- oke fia- lameco road was done where the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo led the commissioning

While speaking, Obasanjo said when Adeleke was declared as the Governor of Osun State, some people believed he doesn’t have anything to deliver, but to their greatest surprise, within two years he has been able to achieve a lot.

He further encourage the governor to keep on with the good work as a governor who loves dancing, “keep working and keep dancing because such will not cease from his life”, Obasanjo said.

Earlier, Governor Adeleke stated that the ongoing road projects in the state were carried out by the indigenous contractors and engineers within Osun State, adding that this will make Osun State proud.


However, the 2.1km road was named after the Late Asiwaju of osogbo, Abdulfatai Adekikekun Ajadi Badmus way.
