Osun: I’m disappointed in Amotekun’s arrant statement over my workshop raid – Osogbo-based auto mechanic, Babatunde Oyetunji
… threatens legal action
Following the onslaught launched on his workshop, the Osogbo-based auto mechanic, Alhaji Babatunde Oyetunji has described as blatant lie the statement issued by Amotekun leadership denying the attack on his workshop last Monday.
Reacting to the statement on Saturday, Oyetunji said the statement has further confirmed Amotekun Corps as an embodiment of propaganda not befitting a reputable security outfit in the state.
Recall that the Amotekun Corps Media Department had in a statement signed by its image maker, Yusuf Idowu Abass
disclaimed not being involved in the allegation of workshop raid calling on the public to disregard the information.
But Oyetunji in a reaction to the statement expressed disappointment in what he described as arrancy unworthy of noble security formation like Amotekun.
Oyetunji noted that the outright denial of the raid by Amotekun shows that the outfit is devoid of integrity, honour and dignity as such he was ready to square it up through legal means.
He, however, threatened legal action against the security outfit, saying he has assembled his legal counsels and concluded plans to institute litigations against Amotekun.
He said: “I am disappointed in the arrancy unworthy of noble security formation like Amotekun for outrightly denying being involved in the raiding of my workshop.
“With this outright denial, I can say emphatically that the security outfit has now become an embodiments of Propaganda and not befitting a reputable security outfit in the state.
I am going to challenge the security outfit at a competent court of law.”
Osun Amotekun had in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Idowu Abass reacted to the allegations of workshop invasion, saying it was a blatant lie.
Amotekun said: “We have been made aware of a social media publication containing libelous allegations against the Osun Amotekun Corps, which we must correct to prevent the spread of misinformation.
“The publication falsely alleged that Osun Amotekun Corps invaded Oyetunji’s workshop on Ring Road, Osogbo, and stole vehicles and spare parts. We wish to inform the public that Osun Amotekun Corps was not involved in this act, and the news is entirely false”
Oyetunji noted that no effort would be spared to expose the dastard act on his person and privacy by the Amotekun
