Oyetola, Ataoja, Asiwaju, SRJ, Others Attend Osogbo Central Eid As Osun Grand-Imam Leads Prayer (see photos)

Osogbo, the state capital of Osun witnessed another Muslim festival ‘Eid-el-Fitr’ to mark the end of the only month of Ramadan to join other Muslims across the world.

The Osogbo Central Eid, located at Oke-baale, witnessed another mammoth crowd as old, young, men women gathered to observed two rakhat of solat to thank Allah.

The Governor of Osun state, Alh Adegboyega Oyetola led the government functionaries among which Osun Central Senator elect, Dr. Ajibola Basiru SRJ to the central Eid. While the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alh. Khamis Olatunde Badmus, Sen. Bayo Salami and many Islamic scholars joined his royal Majesty, the Ataoja of Osogbo Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye ll) and the Ataoja in council to observed the prayer.

Delivering lecture after the two rakahat (nawafil), Sheik Musa Animasahun who is the grand-Imam of Osun and the Chief Imam of Osogboland, specifically preaches on peace, unity and cooperation among Muslims and non-Muslims.

Imam added by saying a true Muslim will not go back to his or her sins after Ramadan has purified us. He prayed for all leaders across board.

Other dignitaries in attendance were local government chairmen, Naibul-Imam of Osogbo Sheik Haroon Samonigongo, Mufasir of Osogboland, Sheik Maruf Ishola, local government parliamentarians, Islam organizations, Press team (OSBC, TVC, Osun Reporters, Rave FM) among others.
