Rivers Local Govt Chairman Suspended
The local government committee chairman of the Akuku-Toru local government area of Rivers state, Otonye Briggs has been suspended by Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
In a statement signed by the chief press secretary to he governor, Nelson Chukwudi, on Tuesday, September 17, said Briggs had been suspended with immediate effect.
,,,,The governor directed Bitebobo Nelson Amieye, to immediately take over as the caretaker committee chairman of the council.
____Fubara ordered Briggs to hand over all council property in his possession to the new chairman.
