Top PDP lawmaker expelled from party

Information reaching the OsunReporters News has it that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, representing Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency, from the party.

According to reports, the decision follows accusations of misconduct, disobedience, and actions that conflicted with party principles.

Reports further revealed that the Ideato North Local Government Area chapter formalized the expulsion in a December 5, 2024, letter addressed to the state leadership.

The action stemmed from findings of a disciplinary panel convened in November to investigate allegations against Ugochinyere, who had previously been suspended by his ward for ignoring calls to appear before its leadership.

The PDP’s leadership at the local level concluded that such actions harmed its cohesion and integrity.
