Chief Of Staff Resigns
Information reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, Dr Aminu Malle, has resigned his appointment.
……..A statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Umar Puma, titled ‘Wase’s Chief of Staff Resigns,’ said the resignation complied with the provision of Section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act 2022.
….According to Section 84(12) of the Act, “No political appointee at any level shall be a voting delegate or be voted for at the convention or congress of any political party for the purpose of the nomination of candidates for any election.”
The statement explained further that he resigned to contest for the seat of Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in Taraba State at the House.
