INEC declares Tinubu winner of presidential election
The ‘Emi Lokan’ Crooner, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU against all odds, bickerings, betrayals, rejections and conspiracies was declared President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu on Wednesday morning, March 1, 2023.
Tinubu defeated his close rivals, Atiku Abubakar of PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso of NNPP in a keenly contested election in Nigeria.
Total result across the states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ABUJA, reads;
THE TOP FOUR:
TINUBU (APC):. 8,794,726
ATIKU (PDP):. 6,984,520
OBI (LABOUR):. 6,101,533
KWAKWANSO (NNPP):. 1,496,687
Total votes cast, 24,965,218
Yakubu said, “That Bola Ahmed TINUBU having satisfied the majority of votes is hereby returned as the President-elect…”.
Swearing-in will take place at 3pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
