FG summons Sheikh Gumi over alleged ties with bandits
Information reaching the OsunReporters News has it that the federal government has invited Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi for questioning.
According to reports, the cleric was summoned over his comments on the activities of bandits in the country.
Confirming the development, Minister of Information and Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Monday made this known while addressing journalists at the State House, Abuja.
It would be recalled that the cleric had cautioned the Tinubu-led government to desist from bombing terrorists but rather, offer them a better life as this would be a more effective way of curbing insurgency in the country.
At the time of filing this report, no response from Gumi on either he will honour the summon or not.
