JUST IN: Six Imo Lawmakers Defect From AA, APGA To PDP
The Imo State House of Assembly on Monday witnessed the defection of six lawmakers to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
In a letter addressed to the Speaker and read by the clerk of the House during plenary, the lawmakers announced their defection to the house.
Five of the lawmakers Until their defection on Monday, five of the lawmakers were members of the Action Alliance (AA) while the sixth person was a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Names of the AA lawmakers who defected to the PDP were Mike Iheanaetu (Aboh Mbaise), Victor Onyewuchi (Owerri West), Ken Agbim (Ahiazu Mbaise) Lloyd Chukwuemeka (Owerri North) and Bruno Ukoha (Ezinihittte Mbaise). While Chiji Collins (Isiala Mbano) defected from APGA to PDP.
According to the report, the defection of Honourable Collins was to enable him to emerge the next Speaker of the Assembly as political permutations ongoing to inaugurate the new Imo state assembly.
