APC National Secretary, Basiru doles out Ramadan packages to Osun residents

In a bid to show love to his people and support them during Ramadan fasting, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator (Dr.) Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru has distributed Ramadan packages to the people of Osun State.

The packages include food items such as Rice, Beans, Garri, Maize, Palm Oil, Macaroni and other essentials to the household as palliatives for the period.

Hon. Adeoye Adelakun who is the chairman of the committee that oversees the distribution of the packages said the initiative of the National Secretary is a laudable one and should be commended.

Adeoye said the distribution cuts across all the nine federal constituencies in the states including the need to assist them for the Ramadan period considering the economic meltdown of the country.

Beneficiaries, such as party stalwarts, party faithful, support, interest and religious groups, across the state, lauded the National Secretary for the gesture, praying to Allah to continue to strengthen him.

Basiru while speaking at his house during a Ramadan lecture on Sunday wished all Muslims in the state and beyond a blissful month and called for fervent prayers for the nation’s leadership.

He enjoined the citizens to support the Renew Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu to bring the country back to its glorious day.
