FG extends public holiday for Eid-el-Fitri

After the declaration of Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays, the Federal Government of Nigeria has extended the Eid-El-Fitr public holiday to Thursday, 11th April 2024.

___,,The announcement was made by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo.

It would be recalled that on Sunday, the minister declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays, but the Sultan of Sokoto announced Wednesday as Eid-el-Fitri as the moon is yet to be sighted.

Nigeria will have three days public holiday for this year eid.
