Osun CIPM Inaugurates New Executive At Annual General Meeting In Osogbo

The Osun State Branch of Chartered Institute Of Personnel Management Of Nigeria (CIPM), has inaugurated new state executive committee to lead the institute for the next calendar year.

OsunReporters News gathered that the dissolution of former executive, election and swear-in of new executive which was held at the Annual General Meeting of the institute on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at the conference room of Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Osogbo where minutes and financial report of the immediate past administration led by Mr Jimoh Adeyemi were presented and adopted by the members in attendance.

While delivering her goodwill message, the zonal officer from CIPM headquarters, Mrs Seyi Musa-Semughana, charged the new executive to adopt digital way of operation for proper engagement of members within and outside their branch, adding that training and re-training of members of the institute will advance the knowledge of members and scope of operations.

She administered the oath of office for the new executive members in line with the CIPM code of conduct.

The newly inaugurated executive include:

Mr Jimoh Alani Adeyemi – Chairman
Mrs Yemisi Ogunyemi – Vice Chairman
Mrs Olufisayo Adetunji – General Secretary
Mrs Omobola Ayodele – Assistant Secretary/PRO
Mrs Taofikat Oketunji – Treasurer
Alh Hamed Amzat – Financial Secretary
Aderemi Ajani – Ex-Officio (l)
Dr James Akinbode – Ex-Officio (ll)

Our Correspondent who was at the event, reported that the decoration of 11th Chairman, J.A Adeyemi who was re-elected unopposed was performed by the former Chairman of the institute, Mr Segun Ajiboye (ICP).

In his inaugural speech, Adeyemi stated that the new executive committee is desirous of moving the branch to the greater heights, assuring members workable plan for the year 2024 to improve membership participation at branch and National levels.

He, however, urged members to collectively support his administration physically, spiritually and financially.

“I am honoured and humbled to present myself and other members of the executive to the service of our great institute. I wish to state that the new executive committee is desirous of moving the branch to greater heights.

“I want to therefore assure you all that we shall strictly follow the approved Branch Work Plan for the year 2024 towards improving members participation in Branch and National activities in the State; and work seriously on membership mobilization.

“You will agree with me that all these can only be achieved through our collective efforts. Therefore, the new executive committee is humbly seeking members’ unflinching supports, prayers, time and financial commitment towards executing our laid programmes successfully,” Adeyemi said.
