The Nigerian Police has on Wednesday paraded three suspects, a 24-year-old MEDINAT IBRAHIM,  30-year-old AMUDALAT WAHAB and 28-year-old Hammed Lekan over criminal conspiracy and Kidnap in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital

According to the state’s police spokesperson, ASP Ajayi Okansanmi, in a press briefing at the Force Headquarters in Ilorin, the Command acted on information received on Sunday’s evening from one Nurudeen Solagberu of Oko-olowo area in Ilorin, that one of the suspects, Ibrahim Medinat of Olude Oke-Fomo, was kidnapped by unknown persons.

The prime suspect, IBRAHIM MEDINAT, who confessed to faking her own Kidnap to demand a ransom of two-hundred and fifty-thousand naira from her father through HAMMED LEKAN’S G-T Bank account, and told the newsmen that she was remorseful about her action, said she committed the crime because she needed money to pay a sum of fifty-five thousand naira she borrowed from someone to start up her business.

MEDINAT, a college graduate and school teacher, admitted to lying to the third suspects, HAMMED LEKAN, who is also her childhood friend, but not to the second suspects, AMUDALAT WAHAB, who is her half-sister.

The PPRO, however, reiterated the commitment of the Command to stop at nothing to deal with any criminal arrested no matter how highly placed.
