Russian-Ukrainian War: Abramovich Offers To Sell Chelsea To Swiss Billionaire and Others
“There can be no safe havens” for anyone who backed the invasion, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated in response to the penalties. Today’s sanctions are the latest sign of the United Kingdom’s steadfast support for the people of Ukraine.”
“Those who allow the massacre of people, the devastation of hospitals, and the illegitimate takeover of sovereign allies will be pursued ruthlessly. Given the considerable impact that today’s punishments would have on Chelsea football club and the possible knock-on consequences,” the government said in a statement. “The Government has this morning announced a licence authorising a number of football-related activities at Chelsea to continue. Permissions for the club to continue playing matches and other football-related activities are included in this, which will safeguard the Premier League, the larger football pyramid, devoted supporters, and other teams.”
