Another Sacked Pastor Exposes Fresh Hidden Secrets About Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel Church

The outcome of the sacked 40 pastors of the Winners Chapel Church is becoming reprisal between Daddy G.O, Bishop Oyedepo and the affected pastors as another pastor among the 40 recently sacked pastors has accused the church of paying pastors who were graduates 38,000 naira as monthly salaries.

The pastor revealed that the gross salary was 53,000 naira but they were paid 38,000 naira as the rest was supposed to cover for pension and housing allowance. The victim, who preferred to speak on condition of anonymity, noted that the money deducted for pensions was not even remitted to their bank accounts until their sack and outrage went viral.

He said, “Oyedepo and his senior Pastors knew they would sack us before employing us. That was why they gave us employment on probation. Someone went online to post lies in support of the church that the recently sacked pastors were being paid 80,000 naira and house rent of 150,000 naira.

I will just say a little here; no employed pastor was paid 80,000 naira in the church. The highest salary is for degree holders which is 53,000 naira and, this 53,000 naira is not the net salary at the end of the month. The pastor will only receive 38,000 naira at the end of the month; 6,000 naira goes to the pension account and 9,000 naira goes to house rent account.

“It is very funny that the pastors, we honoured, could keep the money they removed from our salaries in their personal bank accounts for long without paying into our pension accounts. It was when they sacked us that they started paying into the pension accounts. Imagine that.” The affected pastor explained.

It could be recalled that a Winners Pastor, identified as Peter Godwin, alleged that he and 40 other pastors in Ekiti State were sacked for having a church growth index that falls below expectations, while the founder of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, said the pastors recently sacked by the church were unfruitful, adding that the only criteria for their sack was how many souls had been won in the church.
