CERTIFICATE FORGERY: Adeleke To Know Fate At Appeal Court Today
The news reaching us had it that the court of Appeal sitting in Abuja will on Thursday deliver judgement on the eligibility case of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the gubernatorial candidate of the People s’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun 2018 governorship election.
The spokesperson of the court, Sa’adatu Kachalla made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
OSUN REPORTERS gathered from the notice made available by court’s spokesman, Kachalla said: “Notice is hereby given that judgment will be delivered tomorrow 30th May 2019 in Senator Adeleke’s Appeal over qualification Petition at the Abuja Division, Court of Appeal.”
Earlier in April, a High Court sitting in Abuja had nullified the candidature of Ademola Adeleke.
Confirmed before now by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) that Adeleke sat for its examination in 1981.
Contrarily, the judge handling the matter, Othman Musa had held that the result Adeleke attached to his form CF001 which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was fake based on the fact before the court.
Thereafter, Ademola Adeleke appealed the verdict of the lower court.
