Court Remands Church General Overseer In Prison

,,,,,,The Akure Magistrates’ Court has remanded the General Overseer of the All Saints Development Church of Christ, Igbara-Oke, Ifedore ocal government, Prophetess Serah Abuloye, in prison custody on two count charges of conspiracy and murder.

…..It was gathered that the 49- year-old Prophetess allegedly killed and dumped a 37- year- old member of her church, Adefunke Aselogbon, in a bush behind her church on January 6, 2022.

,,,,According to the police prosecutor, Obalasa Ajiboye, the prophetess committed the offence at about 4.00am along Isarun Road, Igbara-oke in the Ondo State Magisterial District.

The police prosecutor said Abuloye’s offences are contrary to and punishable under Section 324 and 319(1) of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.

…….He then urged the court to remand the defendant in the correctional centre’s custody pending the outcome of advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

,,,,,Counsel to the defendant, Mrs Ola Adedire, did not oppose the prosecutor’s application.


…In his ruling thereafter, the Presiding Magistrate, Damilola Sekoni, ordered the remand of the defendant in police custody and adjourned the case till February 18, 2022 for ruling on remand application.
