Excitement as X begins to pay Nigerian Creators

X, formerly known as Twitter, has got many excited following reports of the company rewarding creators for their content.

X launched this new payment plan in the United States of America in July and only recently extended this payment plan to verified global users. (Twitter blue subscribers).

Many Nigerian content creators on the microblogging app have begun to receive payment from the microblogging networking platform. These payments are generated via X’s ad revenue-sharing programme.

….To qualify for monetisation, X requires users to subscribe to Twitter Blue, own a Stripe payment account, and amass more than 15 million impressions monthly.

A few Nigerian content creators have begun to share earnings from this new development. Photographer Sarkin Fotoion Monday, shared receipt of his earnings writing alongside, “I was paid $67 for my first X Ads Revenue Sharing.”

….Nigerians have since taken to his comment section and others to share their thoughts on this development.
