FG Set To Indict Officers Involve In #EndSARS Brutality
The National Economic Council in Nigeria said officers indicted by the judicial panels set up to probe police brutality will face prosecution.
According to a statement issued after the meeting chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, the spokesperson for the vice-president, LAOLU AKANDE, said the Federal Government and states will set up modalities for the settlement of compensations awarded to victims of police brutality
The Federal Government had directed states to set up judicial panels of inquiry into allegations of human rights violations involving police officers, following the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.
