JUST IN: Checkout Names, Positions Of Newly Elected 7th Osun Assembly Leadership

The composition of the 7th Osun State Assembly leadership was held on Thursday 6th of June, 2019 as the 6th Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salam gets resolved at the plenary.

The 26 newly elected honourable members across the State produced by the two major political parties in the State, The Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) produced 23 members, while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) produced 3 members during the 2019 general elections.

The 7th assembly comprises 26 members is currently led 10 elected officers which includes:From right: Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye (Speaker), Hon. Femi Popoola (Deputy Speaker)

1) Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye (Ilesa West State Constituency) as Speaker

2) Hon. Femi Popoola (Boripe State Constituency) as Deputy Speaker

3) Hon. Babatunde Olatunji (Ife-North State Constituency) as Chief Whip

4) Hon. Morufu Olarewaju (Irewole State Constituency) as Majority Leader

5) Hon. Moshood Kunle Akande (Olorunda State Constituency) emerged the Deputy Majority Leader

6) Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi (Ayedire State Constituency) as Deputy Chief Whip

7) Minority Leader from PDP goes to Hon. Babajide Kofoworola (Ede State Constituency)

8) Hon Nasiru Olateju (Irepodun State Constituency) as Central Senatorial Whip

9) Hon. Babatunde Komolafe emerged East Senatorial Whip

10) Hon Babatunde Ibirogba as West Senatorial Whip

The inauguration witnessed dignitaries within Osun State, Governor Oyetola and his wife, the Deputy Governor, Gboyega Alabi, Former Deputy Governor Otunba Titilaoye Tomori, former Speakers of the state house, State APC party Chairman, Prince GBOYEGA Famodun, former and new Senators in the State, political groups among others.
