Makinde Demolishes Yoruba Nation Leader’s Buildings In Ibadan

Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that Oyo State government has demolished a building belonging to Modupe Onitiri-Abiola, one of the alleged sponsors of Saturday’s attack on the Agodi Government Secretariat.

While justifying the action, the state’s Commissioner for Lands, Housing, Survey and Urban Development, William Akin-Funmilayo, while speaking with journalists at the site of the demolished building located around Sanyo area in Ibadan said The building has been taken over by the government. It was used for declaration to succeed from the Democratic government of Nigeria.

While conducting journalists round the Sanyo building, Police commissioner said the government pulled it down after obtaining a court order.

According to him, “The demolition was carried out two days ago. We obtained a court order from High Court on April 16,2024 to demolish the building, having got information that the Yoruba Nation agitators used the place. This building belongs to them. It houses dangerous weapons.

Similarly, the state government has demolished an illegal lithium processing factory at Idi-Ayure Road, Oluyole local government axis of Ibadan. It was also gathered that the state government has secured a court order to that effect.
