Npower: FG To Execute 5 Case-Plan For Batch A, B,C

As Federal Government of Nigeria shift attention to Npower programme where beneficiaries were both batch A, B and C were currently attending to by the Federal Ministry of Social Investment headed by Minister Farooq Sadiya, the Federal Government has concluded 5 crucial plans on the N-exit package and deployment regarding the A/B/C.

…..The month of October holds great tidings and hopes for batch A/B/C of the Npower Programme in line with president Buhari’s agenda to lift 100 Million Nigerians (mostly youths) out of Poverty, will be put to test in the N-power program by October, 2021 to empower more than 2 Million young minds in the country.

Batch C Stream 1 (Work To Start 4th of October)

….NASIMS has clearly informed all batch C stream 1 beneficiary to hurry up in their physical verification exercise as work will fully commence October 4th and salary would be paid October end as Physical Verification is currently going on in all states and local Government Areas across the Nation and would end on the 24th of September.

…..The list containing over 500,000 Batch C stream 1 applicants have reached the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and all the States Social Investment Offices (SIP) Nationwide to Fastrack the ongoing Physical Verification and Deployment, 550,000 applicants, to their various Place of Primary Assignment (PPA)

Batch A and B: 5 Months Stipend (N150,000) is Currently Being Paid

………According to a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Bashir Nura Alkali, on Friday, stated that N150, 000.00 each will be paid to 9,066 volunteers, representing 5 months allowances, while the allowances of 4,955 volunteers will be withheld, pending the conclusion of further investigation

…….Following the payment system challenges faced by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, which has been overcome, the Ministry has commenced the final payment of the arrears on the few outstanding allowances of Batches A and B NPower volunteers.

…….The accounts of these 14,021 volunteers were flagged in March 2020 by the Federal Government payment system, the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS), for various reasons including but not limited to beneficiaries having multiple accounts, and beneficiaries account receiving other payments such as salaries and allowances from multiple Federal Government Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) on permanent employment or for participating in other schemes. These acts violate the regulations guiding the N-Power volunteer programme and could amount to gross misconduct and corruption.

…….The Ministry carried out a detailed investigation in collaboration with relevant government MDAs and so far the accounts of 9,066 volunteers were cleared for final payment. Based on this reality, the 5 months allowance arrears of these volunteers, totaling N150,000.00 each, is currently being paid”

…..The allowances of the remaining 4,955 are withheld pending the conclusion of further investigation. where clear violations of the agreements are established, such violators will be subjected to appropriate sanctions as stipulated by the law contrary to some insinuations in the public domain, this process is a clear demonstration of the ministry’s resolve to address this unfortunate incidence in a transparent manner for accountability and to forestall its future occurrence as it has consistently maintained, the investigation carried out by the ministry is in the best interest of the country and has the major goal of institutionalizing the national social investment programme (nsip) and ensuring its efficient management in line with Mr president’s resolve to ensure transparency and accountability in its implementation at all times

………..The ministry regrets the delays experienced in concluding this process, but assures the public that transparency and accountability cannot be compromised in all its activities.

…….The long-awaited loan from the central bank regarding the nexit programme will have a full effect this October, interesting press statements will be released as the month comes near

……Batch A and B volunteers would be instructed on the next level of the programme, which has been planned by the presidency long ago

According to Vice Oresident Yemi Osinbanjo: “30,000 npower volunteers are already engaged as enumerators in fmardspce programme while 200,000 disengaged volunteers will go for SANEF as agents, others will have the option of a loan.

……Npower nexit portal for unregistered volunteers will officially close. The new secured portal recently opened for unregistered volunteers will be officially shut as the month of October ends.

…..Unregistered volunteers are to take this last opportunity given them and register for the nexit CBN loan programme, according to the spoke person of the humanitarian minister, Ngozi Nkem, any volunteer who fails to show his/her interest in the loan programme by registering on the nexit platform, would themselves to blame. so make hay, while the sun still shines

…..Stream 2 should be at alert, as soon as stream 1 is deployed and verified, preparations, shortlisting and onboarding will be done to stream 2, myeduproject don’t know precisely when stream 2 will commence, what we do know is that stream 2 will start 2022.
