,,,,,,,After a letter dated February 8, 2022, went viral on Friday that the Oluwo solicited money from Governor Oyetola for the Kano wedding, The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has denied writing the governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, to ask for the governor’s support for a planned wedding in Kano State.

,,,,However, Press Secretary to Oluwo’s Palace, Alli Ibraheem, while reacting to the viral letter in a statement
on Friday, said it was fake and did not emanate from the palace of Oluwo.

Reactions from Nigerians indicated that how will a monarch all because he wants to marry a princess from another royal family put the burden on the state government that is struggling to meet up with her obligations.
