Oyetola Sues For Unity Among Muslims, Salutes MUPAF For Propagating Politics In Islam

Governor Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola of Osun State has described Islam as religion of unity and peace, called for unity among Muslims in Osun, Southwest and Nigeria at large for a common goal towards the 2023 general elections, OSUNREPORTERS NEWS gathered.

Oyetola who was represented by his Commissioner for Human Resources and Capacity Building, Alhaja Latifat Giwa at a one-day Colloquium among Muslims in the Southwest Nigeria, organized by Muslim Political Awareness Front (MUPAF) held in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Saturday, explained that people who are yet to get their voter’s card should do so and join weight in supporting the right candidate in the 2023 general elections as this would continue to elevate Islam and empower Muslim in general.

The Governor further urged Nigerians to vote for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu come February 2023 general elections while other candidates of the APC should not be exempted, adding that voting for Tinubu would bring tremendous opportunities, Industries would be coming, Job Opportunities, Osun would benefit handsomely.

He commended the social/religion/Islamic group Muslim Political Awareness Front (MUPAF) for it’s roles in enlightening the generalities of Muslims on the advantage of political power, describing MUPAF as the standard and trusted body with tremendously achievement in maintaining peace and ever supportive to the Muslim at all levels.

Osun State Governor through Alhaja Latifat Giwa also charged people to join politics in order to be a part of decision making, importantly to contribute positively to the development of Nigeria.

In his remark, the Chairman of the occasion, Osun Central Senator and Spokesperson of the Nigerian Senate, (Dr) Ajibola Basiru who also represented Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu as Principal Guest of Honour commended MUPAF for enlightening the Muslims on the need to be politically active, appealing to those in attendance to take the massage to the nook and cranny of the Southwest states for a positive and massive votes for Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu to become president of Nigeria come 2023. He also urged the people of Osun Central Senatorial District to return him to the red chamber for second term come February 2023.


The Colloquium where Professor AbdulHafeez Oladosu of the University of Ibadan delivered lecture on the roles of Muslims in Nigeria Political Setting towards 22023 general elections, was attended Royal fathers, political stalwarts, Islamic scholas and organizations among other eminent personalities across the Yoruba speaking states.
