•Says Education Must Be Free

The presidential candidate of the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) in next year’s general election, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has taken a swipe at the promise by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to make available loans to students of institutions of high learning through the TETFund arrangement, insisting that what is needed is free and quantitative education, not loans.

Appearing on Channels TV-Politics Today on Friday night, Prince Adebayo chastised the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate over alleged inconsistencies, noting that even the document which the APC stalwart tagged “Renewal of Hope 2023” may not solve the country’s problems.

According to him, the APC jumped to “Renewal of Hope 2023” because of the SDP’s “Hope Again” agenda, which is a copy of MKO Abiola’s manifesto in the 1993 election.

The SDP presidential standard-bearer rejected the plan to implement student loans, stating that education is a right of every citizen and must be free.

He hinted that SDP’s “Hope Again” manifesto will eradicate hunger and poverty in the country.
Education is the right of every citizen and it must be free. Ask all the current leaders how much they pay for education. Buhari enjoyed free education like the majority of his generation. ” Adebayo explained.

“We have money in this country. Government just needs to block leakages and theft of oil. I am sure 10 percent of the money being stolen through oil theft and other misappropriation would fund the education sector conveniently.”

,,,,,,The legal practitioner and media entrepreneur implored Nigerians to vote for SDP during the 2023 general elections as, according to him, it is the only party that has the interest and is compassionate of the plight of the masses.
