Senate approves Buhari’s demand for $16 billion loan
The Senate on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 approved $ 16,230,077,718, € 1,020,000,000 and a grant of $ 125,000,000 as foreign loans to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, to carry out its legacy.
The Red Cross in particular approved the release of 500,000,000 Euros from the Industrial Bank and 750,000,000 Euros in the global financial markets. She urged the president to submit the terms and conditions of the loan from the funding agencies to the National Assembly.
The Senate approved this after reviewing the report of its Committee on Domestic and Foreign Debt, chaired by Senator Clifford Ordia.
