Skit maker ‘kills’ Varsity girlfriend ‘for rituals’
Damian Okoligwe, the skit maker popularly known as Ai Damian on Facebook, has been arrested over the alleged murder of his girlfriend, a 300-level undergraduate at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
Otuene Justina Nkang, the deceased who was declared missing four days ago, was said to have visited Okoligwe.
The Biochemistry student was said to be undergoing her industrial training (IT) attachment at a private hospital in Port Harcourt, where she was last seen.
A source said that they saw Nkang’s decomposing and mutilated remains in her boyfriend’s apartment.
…….The source also alleged that the undergraduate was killed by Okoligwe for ritual purposes.
“So he (the suspect) after committing the crime kept her body in his apartment for three days and just when he wanted to dispose of her corpse in the refuse dump, a vigilante group in the area accosted him, leading to his arrest,” the witness alleged.
…….Videos from the crime scene making the rounds on social media showed the suspected killer in police handcuffs.
At the scene were decaying and mutilated remains of the deceased wrapped in a translucent plastic bag.
When contacted, Grace Woyengikuro Iringe-Koko, the PRO of the River police, declined to share information on the matter.
…….Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), however, commented on the incident via X on Thursday.
“The CP Rivers is handling this, and he will soon speak to it. It’s certain there will be justice,” he said.
……Okoligwe is known on social media for some of his skits which involve asking young ladies to do strange and unusual tasks for cash prizes.
