Voting process disrupted at Adeoti’s ward as Guber aspirant loses LG

Voting process has been disrupted at the Gidigbo Ward, Post office area, Iwo, Iwo local government area of Osun State, where the former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti.

Our Correspondent who visited the location at 2:39pm reported that the accreditation was still ongoing and voting process has not commenced, but it was however, reported that the location was becoming tensed.

When our correspondent returned to the location at 5pm, who whole process has been disrupted as result sheets and other materials were said to have been hijacked by suspected thugs.

Adeoti had left the scene before the incident.

Speaking with InsightMedia, a voter identified as Abeeb Balogun, said, “the Adeoti guys came to disrupt the process that was going on peacefully. No hitches at all until they started tearing the result sheets. That affected another ward – Adan ward 1 – also. They tore the result sheets there too.”

“After all, Oyetola got 9432, while Moshood Adeoti gathered 2543.” Balogun said.

Another voter identified as Akeem Olaotipin said the accreditation did not end and that provoked some voters, who went ahead and disrupt the process.


He said, “No voting at Adeoti’s ward. They just kept on bringing people and accreditation did not end. That’s why no election took place.”
