APC Osogbo Federal Constituency Mourns Owonikoko’s Demise, Commiserates Family, Party Members

The leadership of Osogbo Federal Constituency within the All Progressives Congress has announced and mourn the demise of one of the prominent members of the constituency, Hon Quadri Owonikoko who died in the early hours of Tuesday 16 June, 2020.

This was contained in a release made available to OSUNREPORTERS NEWS by the Chairman of the constituency’s Elders Forum, Otunba Titi Laoye-Ponle in Osogbo on Tuesday, where the death of Owonikoko was described as vacuum in the party.

The release also noted that Owonikoko, who was the Chairman of Olorunda North Local Council Development Authority until his death was a forthright and brilliant politician who served the party with all his endowment.

The release read in part, “We at the Osogbo Federal Constituency Office, under the chairmanship of Otunba Titi-laoye Tomori hereby announced the demise of the Chairman, Olorunda North LCDA Hon. Quadri Owonikoko (Integrity).

“He was one of the political office holders from our Constitueny and a leader in Olorunda North LCDA. Owonikoko was a forthright and brilliant politician who served the party with all his endowment till his last breath.

“We shall miss his in-depth analysis of issues, his unalloyed commitment to the success , progress of our party and his outstanding performance in Government.”

The party leadership called for God’s favour over his soul and pray for fortitude over the irreparable loss within his family.

“May his gentle soul rest in peace and may Allah gives his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the statement added.
