Exposed! How Aregbesola’s TOP plan to manipulate APC primary election failed

.As Police parade suspects

The Osun All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Primary election may have come and gone. But political analysts are still interrogating the reason behind the bogus claim by a former Governor and incumbent Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, that he would dislodge Governor Adegboyega Oyetola by denying him party’s ticket.

One of them appears to have been exposed by the Police. No fewer than 11 persons have been paraded by the Osun State Police Command for being in possession of fake APC membership registration slips.

Interestingly, most of those arrested are minors and they have been singing like a canary, revealing details of how they were recruited by Aregbesola’s The Osun Progressives, TOP, to carry out the criminal act.

These persons were arrested in Ikoyi last Saturday by the operatives of Amotekun during APC’s Governorship primary election in Osun.

While parading the suspects, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said they were intercepted in some tricycles while going to some wards to perpetrate their “evil act”.

Police confirmed that their names are different from the names on the APC membership registration slips found on them.

The suspects are: Afeez Aransi, Mumini Bidemi, Thomas Olamilekan, Abiodun Oladele, Qoyum Adisa, Adekunle Oladele, Adisa Salim, Taiwo Timileyin, Olamide Oluwapelumi, Ayuba Fesomade and Abraham Olaitan.

They confessed to the crime and said that they were contracted by one Asawo and Olaoluwa, who are known members of the Aregbesola’s TOP, to engage in the act for money.

Police say it is making frantic efforts to get their sponsors arrested, especially those being fingered to have sent them.

The Police PRO urged parents and guardians to take good care of their children to prevent them from being used by politicians for their selfish gains.
