A member of the Federal House of Representatives in the 9th Assembly, Honourable Bamidele Salam representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in Osun State as urged Nigerian youths to channel their energy towards rebuilding the country at this critical time of security challenges and economic meltdown.

The legal luminary and grassroots politician made the admonition during a Media Parley organized by the Osun State Online Media Practitioners Association held in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Monday, where he linked various challenges facing the country to the failure of senior citizens who are above the age of 50.

While responding to questions on how youths can rebuild this country, Salam attributed problems facing Nigeria today to the incompetence of the rulling class who have failed in their numerous promises to take Nigerians to the promise land.

The lawmaker, however, said that those who are calling for secession, restructuring, community policing, revolution, infrastructure among others in the country due to the failure of promises made by both the previous and current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari should productively involve in politics with the aim of righting the wrongs, adding that Nigerians are stronger together.

“Instead of our youths who feel frustrated and believe that they can not get their way of redressing the situation, to resolve to extremism, they should channel their energy to politics with the aim to positively impact the system to rebuild Nigeria,” He said.
