Osun Senatorial Districts Get N658m For Constituency Projects In 2020 Budget

A community of active citizens tracking the implementation of government projects in various communities to ensure service delivery, known as #TrackaNG, has charged Nigerian law makers to judiciously make use of the amount budgeted for their constituency projects for the year 2020.

TrackaNG, a project by budgIT, also publicly drawn the attention of Nigerians to different millions of naira budgeted for each lawmaker at the 9th Parliament of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for some constituency projects that will be of benefit to Nigerians.

It could be recalled that OSUNREPORTERS NEWS had reported a series of projects nominated in some senatorial districts of Osun in the 2019 budget despite the budget was passed before the inauguration of the present Senate.

As characteristic of Tracka NG which usually tags public officials to tweets, has again commenced the tracking of 2020 constituency projects as indicated in the budget, asking the people to monitor the execution and delivery.

Currently, OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has gathered another series of projects across the three senatorial districts of Osun State totaling N658million being nominated in the year 2020 budget for Senator Adelere Oriolowo of Osun West, Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi of Osun East and Senator Ajibola Basiru of Osun Central Senatorial Districts for execution as their constituency projects through #TrackaNG on Twitter.

See breakdown below per each senatorial district:

N220MILLION FOR OSUN WEST
– N40million for community support in Iwo, Ejigbo and Ola-Oluwa Local governments.
– N50million for Youth in Agric support programme in selected area in Irewole and Ede local governments.
– N50million for provision of farm infrastructure in selected area of Iwo local government.
– N40million for practical skill and development training of youths and women in fishing in selected areas within Osun West Senatorial District.
– N40million for training and empowerment in mixed trading and vocation enterprise in selected areas within Osun West.

N225MILLION FOR OSUN EAST
-N50million for construction and renovation of primary and secondary schools in Osun East.
– N30million for provision of health care facilities in Osun East.
– N30million for training of women and youths on soap making, candle making, coconut oil etc in Osun East
-N30million for training and empowerment for youth in Osun East.
– N50million for procurement and installation of Sookva solar street light within Osun East.
– N35million for repair of roads in Osun East.


N213MILLION FOR OSUN CENTRAL
– N50million for capacity building training for cooperators on ICT, entrepreneurship management, cooperative law, values and studies in Osun Central
– N163million for supply and distribution of empowerment tools for trained cooperators in Osun Central Senatorial Districts.
