Petitioning my leadership; a politics of bitterness, Olorunda Council Boss, Muniru Anisu Blasts Parliamentarians

The Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, Hon. Muniru Anisu has reacted to the petition alleging him of misappropriation of public fund by the council parliamentarians.

He made this known to OsunReporters News in Osogbo on Tuesday where he referred to the action as politics of bitterness, attempt to tarnish his good reputation and political record.

Anisu, while responding to the allegations by the honorable members on the basis of financial misappropriation, recklessness and misconduct, he referred to it as mere political game and false information against him.

According to him, “I am the chairman of this local government and nothing can change it till the end of my tenure, those who are playing politics of bitterness should desist from it before they face the wrath of God.”

While asking if the action of his colleagues were engineered by some political leaders against his personality, Anisu affirmatively confirmed that some political leaders within Olorunda local government were behind it, that their evil act would be exposed when it is time.

“Some selfish party leaders are using some parliamentarians withing my government against me, I will be glad if the state assembly led by Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye can call us to explain to the world how I manage the resources since the inception of my administration because I have nothing to hide,” Anisu Concluded.


Osun Reporters recalled, the petition duly signed by four council parliamentarians, the Chairman was accused of duplicating, jots and inflating expenditure since inception of office two years ago. He was specifically accused of embezzling one month allowance of board members to the tune of N1.9 million apart from inflating a road rehabilitation project of N130,000 to N1.3 million.
