The removal of the Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Adebola Adepele-Ojo is unconstitutional, it is uncalled for and it is Legislative rascality.

,,,,,,The Guest on a popular radio station in Osogbo, Rave FM, Barrister Misbau Lateef stated this on Friday, November 17, 2023.

His reaction was as a result of the suspension of the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Adebola Adepele-Ojo by the Osun State House of Assembly on Thursday and subsequent approval by Governor Ademola Adeleke despite Court Order restraining it.

According to Lateef, the House of Assembly do not have such power to investigate the Chief Judge let alone suspending him.

“The House of Assembly cannot remove, investigate or asked the Chief Judge to ‘step aside’. It has no such power. It is Constitutional rascality and executive recklessness to have asked the CJ to step aside.
The House of Assembly and the Governor have no such power to suspend or asked the Chief Judge to step aside.” – Barrister Lateef.
