Residents protest in Osun community over appointment of monarch

Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that crisis erupted in the early hours of Sunday in the ancient town of Ekosin, Odo-Otin local government area of Osun State over alleged imposition of a traditional ruler.

According to reportss, some members of a ruling house identified as Nyanbilolu Ruling House stormed strategic parts of the town in a protest and started burning tires.

While revealing the crisis in a social post, a resident of the community posted that some residents woke up to the protest over presentation of staff of office to Kasali Olagunju as the Akosin of Ekosin by the Osun State Government earlier this week.

The affected ruling house, however, came out on Eid-up-Adiha celebration day to register their grievances on the appointment of new Akosin.
