Two retired soldiers, others arrested for alleged robbery in Osun

Information reaching the OsunReporters News has it that Men of Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Services has arrested two retired soldiers and two others for robbing an iron steel company in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

According to report, the victims were apprehended with a gun and two vehicles loaded with irons they stole at steel rolling premises.

A top security source said: “Two of the suspects are retired soldiers. They have access to the compound and they worked with two other suspects, who were believed to be buyers of the stolen items.

”The two suspects that had access to the premises, were the ones, armed with weapons that stole irons and planned to sell it to the other suspects.

“They have evacuated the stolen iron to about six 6 kilometres away from the premises of the company to an uncompleted building in Alabameta Area, Osogbo where they were arrested by hunters and handed over to police.”


While confirming the incident, the Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola said; “Our men arrested them and the investigation is ongoing. I can’t say who they are yet. But we won’t allow criminals hidto e in any part of the State.”
