Truck Rams Into Mosque After Ramadan Prayer
Many people have escaped death after a truck carrying mangoes rammed into a mosque in Barade House, opposite the Old Licencing Office in Kontagora, Niger State, in the early hours of Friday.
According to reports, the driver of the truck was said to have taken off from Bida, Niger State, and was heading to Sokoto with four passengers when he dozed off and veered off the road.
,,,,,____””””””””The worshipers had just dispersed after Tahajjud prayers when the incident happened.
_______The mosque was filled during the prayers which fell into the last ten days of Ramadan.
In a viral photo of the scene, the affected section of the mosque is said to be where women and children stayed for the Tahajjud prayers.
According to one of the residents, Yahaya Suleiman, the incident happened less than six minutes after worshipers departed.

“People had just finished the Tahajjud prayers and left when the incident happened.
“No life was lost but damages were done to the Mosque,” he said.
At the time of filing this report, the affected area of the mosque and the truck were still there.
